Position Summary
WFBR seeks an experienced and motivated Business Operations Manager to lead day-to-day office administration, manage donor relations, create compelling communications, and coordinate key fundraising and grantmaking projects.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing many hats — from administrative excellence and creative communications to event management and nonprofit impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee office administration, including financial transactions, scheduling, correspondence, and board support.
- Coordinate fundraising activities — from event planning to donor tracking, data management, and financial documentation.
- Manage outreach programs and volunteer coordination, including donation tracking and distribution.
- Administer grantmaking processes: organize applications, evaluations, and grantee recognition events; schedule site visits.
- Develop engaging, brand-aligned content for newsletters, social media, donor communications, and marketing collateral.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and responsiveness.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High emotional intelligence and customer service orientation.
- Skilled in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Canva.
- Experience with (or willingness to learn) QuickBooks and donor management systems; basic accounting/bookkeeping knowledge preferred.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Passion for gender equity and the mission of the Women’s Fund of the Blue Ridge.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, exempt position (32 hours/week) — Monday through Thursday.
- Flexible hours during fundraising event seasons.
