Communication Adjunct Lecturers (part-time course instructors)

The Department of Communication invites applications for adjunct lecturer positions to support course instruction across upcoming semesters. We seek passionate educators ready to engage students in dynamic learning environments—whether in person, online, or hybrid formats.

Areas of Instruction
Successful candidates will teach one or two courses in one or more of the following majors:

  • Advertising
  • Communication Studies
  • Electronic Media/Broadcasting
  • Digital Journalism

Public Relations
Course Locations & Modalities:
Boone Campus | Hickory Campus | Online or Hybrid (as needed)

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver course content
  • Assess and grade student work
  • Foster student engagement
  • Hold weekly office hours


Qualifications: Master’s degree in Communication or related discipline, or evidence of exceptional professional experience is required.
