As we move closer to the November election, the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce and its Government Relations Committee have created two opportunities for the community to learn about the candidates running for Boone Town Council.

The Chamber will host its annual Meet the Candidates forum, Tuesday, October 5th, from 6:30-9pm. Opportunities for delivery method, location, and a final event format are still being considered as we work through the event challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic. A final decision on these details will be made by September 17th.

In the meantime, the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce announces the creation of a special podcast series entitled, Twenty Good Minutes. President/CEO David Jackson interviewed each candidate for Boone Town Council and the lone candidate for Mayor of Boone, asking each seven questions related to their candidacy, vision, and priorities for the role they seek.

Each candidate’s interview is listed below along with links to campaign websites or materials that were shared with the Chamber and its Government Relations Committee.

A full calendar of dates for all upcoming municipal elections in Watauga County can be found here.
