Communications & Events Coordinator
Mast General Store is passionate about our brand as well as our role within our communities. We’re looking for a Communications & Events Coordinator to support our company’s mission. This individual must be self-motivated, charismatic, enthusiastic, and meticulously organized. They must possess excellent communication skills and have an understanding of marketing, community relations and public relations.
Their responsibilities will include, but are not limited to community outreach and education, public speaking, representation on boards and/or committees, media relations, event management, community partnerships, non-profit event sponsorships, and administering donation programs, as well as coordination and promotion of in-store events.
The Communications & Events Coordinator will be charged with...
- Growing Mast General Store’s community impact
- Supporting and promoting in-store events
- Publicizing events through community contacts, publications, and online calendars
- Identifying and developing community partnerships/sponsorships
- Sourcing, negotiating and managing local sponsorship opportunities
- Communicating event and promotional efforts to stores and communities
Qualified Candidates will meet the following criteria…
- Bachelor’s Degree in communications, management, or similar is preferred
- Non-profit administrative, community development, or communications background preferred.
- Knowledge of the Mast Store’s regional footprint
- Strong collaborator and team player who contributes and provides effective support
- Relates easily to people, builds rapport, and works collaboratively to build meaningful personal and professional relationships
- Strong writing and a willingness to develop public speaking skills
- Strong computer skills
- Self-motivated, organized with critical attention to detail and deadlines, and the ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities
- Strategic thinker with both creative and analytical skills
- Prepare and organize personal schedule to allow weekly travel. Expectations are for regular visits to all Mast Store communities as needed.
