Tasting Room Associate 

Location: On-site

Position Type: Part-Time, Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Reports to: Tasting Room Manager

Compensation: Hourly + tips

Position Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable tasting room associate who is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences. This role will consist of daily guest interaction, sales of wine and cider, and bar back duties included but not limited to clearing tables, stocking, and washing glassware.

The ideal candidate thrives in a start-up environment, enjoys engaging with people, and takes pride in representing the Mill Camp mission and values.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Hospitality

• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming, engaging atmosphere
• Educate guests on products, production methods, and brand story
• Anticipate guest needs and respond quickly
• Communicate in a clear and concise manner and listen attentively to others
• Deliver a memorable, hospitality-focused experience for every guest
  
  

Sales

• Promote products and encourage repeat visits
• Promote special events
• Promote benefits of wine and cider club to guests
  
  

Operations & Daily Support

• Clear and clean tables
• Operate POS system accurately, including cash and credit handling
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tasting room, bar, restrooms, and outdoor areas
• Restock wine, cider, retail items, and supplies as needed
• Support events, musicians, food trucks, and other partners as needed
• Any additional duties assigned by leadership
  
  

Compliance & Safety

• Follow all ABC regulations and alcohol service laws
• Check identification and serve responsibly as directed by local requirements or law
• Identify potential safety issues and notify management
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant service environment

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age
• Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
• Comfortable speaking to groups and educating guests
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and events
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
