Insurance Systems Assistant I

Job Description:

The Insurance Systems Assistant I position is responsible for various administrative functions that require strict attention to detail.  The duties include posting customer payments, retrieving and disbursing statements that are ultimately used in keeping accurate accounting records, and assisting employees with other administrative tasks. The Insurance Systems Assistant will also assist with our agency management system and email, phone, and mail communications internally and externally. 

 

Primary Job Functions may include:

  • Daily posting of customer payments
  • Retrieve and disburse statements from various insurance company websites
  •  Assist in invoicing insurance company statements 
  •  Responsible for downloaded policies and statements from companies
  •  Responsible for daily download reports for agency personnel
  •  Assist with communications of changes to the agency management system to personnel
  •  Maintain branch information sheet
  •  Disburse customer statements to Account Managers for their review
  •  Submit co-op advertising to companies and track reimbursements
  •  Process incoming/outgoing mail
  • Order and track supplies for designated offices
  • Assist with answering and transferring incoming phone calls
  • Adhere to all company and compliance policies and procedures

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Detail-oriented and independent self-starter
  • Good interpersonal, office, communication, and public relation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of windows and MS Office programs
  • Excellent math skills including a basic knowledge of accounting
  •  Insurance industry knowledge desired 

 

Employees are expected to perform other duties as assigned and directed by management.
