MAS Associate 2-3 Years’ Experience
Blackburn, Childers & Steagall, PLC is seeking a motivated Full Time Associate for the Managed Accounting Services Department. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare & Process Payroll - including Quarterly Payroll Tax Returns, W-2s, 1099s, etc.
- Process Accounts Payable
- Prepare Bank Reconciliations
- Provide Accounting related Consulting Services to clients
- Communicate with Co-Workers, Management, Clients & Others in a courteous and professional manner
- Conform with and abide by all Firm, Federal & State Regulations, Policies, Work Procedures & Instructions
- Demonstrate an understanding of simple financial statements and general accounting
- Exhibit an understanding and proficiency in multiple levels of tax reporting, i.e. (sales, payroll, business, etc.)
- Exhibit an understanding of the various software utilized in Managed Accounting Services and Tax
- Ability to prepare a complete and organized work paper file
- Obtain QuickBooks Online certification
- Work closely with Partners and other professional staff to prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses
Education and Experience Required:
- At least an Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Income Tax preparation experience is a plus
- 2-3 Years’ Experience
