We are seeking a full-time Maintenance and Repair Technician to join our boutique luxury home and lifestyle management firm in Blowing Rock. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance/handyman services and a passion for providing high-quality, detail-oriented care.

Our firm supports HNW clients, assisting them in all aspects of home and lifestyle management. We take pride in maintaining their properties to the highest standard through exceptional service, communication, and attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly walkthroughs to inspect the interior and exterior of client homes and perform scheduled maintenance tasks
  • Regularly inspect and ensure the proper functioning of all property systems (HVAC/Mechanical Systems, Smart Home Technology, Etc.)
  • Purchase materials and supplies necessary to perform maintenance and repair projects or special order requests from clients
  • Assist with the coordination and management of repairs, building, and landscaping work performed by vendors
  • Demonstrate a keen eye for detail in all aspects of property care
  • Work closely with the Project Manager on special projects and requests
  • Maintain detailed maintenance schedules through our estate management software
  • Liaise with the Executive Coordinator regarding all client communications
  • Manage internal calendar updates, emails, and texts efficiently
  • Interact with property owners in a professional and approachable manner
  • Ensure residence is client ready and perform arrival and departure preparation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in handyman or property maintenance work
  • Ability to independently perform a wide range of tasks including minor home repairs, furniture assembly and installation, and general property clean-up
  • Have a basic understanding of property features, including mechanical operations (HVAC, water heaters, etc) and smart home technology
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and be willing to access roofs, attic areas, crawl spaces, etc.
  • Exceptional judgement in handling new situations, including collecting the right information to understand urgency and make decisions
  • Ability to think through systems, troubleshoot issues
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
  • Polished presentation, enthusiastic, and positive disposition
  • Flexible - able to change direction, as needed
  • Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent references
  • Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
