Tara Brossa

Boone has been home for me for six years. My journey began when I started the transplant process to move here and open the then under construction Hampton Inn & Suites. Through these years our hotel has thrived, and this has allowed me the time and bandwidth to serve on multiple boards and play an active role in our community. I benefited from the Watauga Leadership Challenge and Watauga Leadership Development courses early in my time here. I also serve as Watauga County Representative for the High Country Workforce Development Board, the Board of Directors for the Boone Area Sports Commission, and Executive Board of the NC High Country Host. My most recent endeavor is my Adjunct Instructor work at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute, where I teach leadership and business courses to our Hospitality and Culinary Management Students.
