News Release Prepared By Chetola Resort

Guest services are a critical part of Chetola Resort’s hospitality mission, which officially states “As a premier vacation destination, it is our goal to exceed everyone's expectations while having fun with our guests and co-workers.” In that regard, the property has made a first-class investment in its valued guests with the purchase of a 15-passenger Ford Transit Conversion van. For the winter ski season, Chetola will offer daily round-trip shuttle service to Appalachian Ski Mountain exclusively for guests of the resort. Shuttle service is included in guests’ nightly Resort Fee and will depart from Chetola up to four times per day.

“We are so excited to have this service available to transport guests to Appalachian Ski Mountain for the 2018/2019 ski season,” says Bryan Moore, Director of Sales & Marketing. “Skiers and snowboarders want to hit the slopes, not worry about the hassle of driving and parking, or the weather if they aren’t familiar with driving on snowy roads. But we value our guests’ time, no matter what season they visit us. So we thought, ‘Leave the driving to us. Our guests should be having fun.”

Chetola will post a printed schedule of the daily route in the main lobby for the guest’s convenience. The resort also will provide pre-arranged trips to the Chetola Sporting Reserve for guests, members, and groups utilizing the resort’s outdoor clay shooting facility. Additional transportation services will be provided upon request and need but limited to guests staying at the resort and based on previously scheduled shuttle availability.

“This new addition,” says Chetola proprietor Kent Tarbutton, “will provide our guests easy winter access to Appalachian Ski Mountain. The van has plenty of room for ski and snowboarding equipment, so folks can load up, hop in, and let us do the driving. It’s all about making things easier for our guests, removing the stresses of driving and parking from the equation.”

This past May Chetola Resort invested more than $25,000 to upgrade its outdoor tent location with new flooring and landscaping in order to accommodate up to 300 guests. And now adding this transportation component to the resort “takes our services to the next level and augments the overall experience for guests, groups, and weddings alike,” says Moore.
