Watauga Leadership Institute Annual Alumni Gathering

Each spring as we conclude another successful Watauga Leadership Institute session, we are motivated by the energy our participants have shown in becoming further engaged in the High Country.

With community leadership more important than ever, the impact of remaining connected with a coalition of involved and eager leaders has never been more valuable.

We invite you to join us and CCC&TI's Small Business Center on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 2:30-5:00pm, for our annual Watauga Leadership Institute Alumni gathering, held at Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute's Watauga Campus in their new Student Common's Facility overlooking Grandfather Mountain.

The event is presented by Mast General Store and Truist Bank, and is open to all graduates of Watauga Leadership Challenge and Leadership Development cohorts.

Survival Skills for Leaders & Entrepreneurs

In this fast-paced, content-packed session, you’ll get tips in four crucial areas for leaders and entrepreneurs: communication, time and stress management, delegation and motivating others. You’ll learn four things reward must be to be effective, how to lead people who have a variety of communication styles and personalities, and a stress equation that will change your life. 

Denise Ryan with Firestar Speaking energizes her audiences through laughing, interacting, and learning. She combines enthusiasm and humor to engage and educate. She's a hilarious motivational speaker with a Master's Degree in Business - a powerful combo!

Tickets are $35, and include hors d'oeuvres prepared by the J.E. Broyhill Civic Center Catering Group, 2 drink tickets, and a reunion with Dr. Jim Street of Ridgeline Leadership! We look forward to reconnecting with the full network of Watauga Leadership Institute participants.
