Art and History at BRAHM!
Tuesday, December 1 from 5:00-7:00 PM
The High Country YoPros are heading back to Blowing Rock for December! We’ll start with a tour of the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum’s (BRAHM) downstairs galleries, then continue upstairs to meet and mingle with fellow young professionals over local food and beverages.
BRAHM is free and open to the public, and this evening is a festive way to see the galleries, learn what’s on display, and close out the year with the YoPro community.
BRAHM’s Program and Outreach Director, Willard Watson III, a fellow High Country Young Professional and 2026 4 Under 40 Finalist, will share a few words about BRAHM and the important role arts and history play in our lives.

BRAHM’s mission is to curate, preserve, educate and inspire. Rooted in the creative cultures of Appalachia, BRAHM aims to cultivate a community that extends beyond its walls and region, positioning Western North Carolina as a leader in the arts. The 23,000-square-foot museum, known as BRAHM (Blowing Rock Art and History Museum), opened its doors on Oct. 1, 2011. Located off Main Street in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, BRAHM provides cultural enrichment by promoting the arts and history through educational programs, exhibitions and activities.
The permanent collection of more than 600 objects includes works by Elliott Daingerfield, Maud Gatewood, Elizabeth Bradford, Mark Hewitt and other American impressionist and post-impressionist artists. Open year-round, BRAHM welcomes more than 24,000 annual visitors free of charge to experience more than 15 changing exhibitions. BRAHM also has an outreach education program that encourages arts education in local schools and senior centers.
