Thursday, May 16 at the Middle Fork Greenway 321 Trailhead from 5:00 to 6:00 PM with remarks and a Ribbon Tying at 5:30 PM. Light refreshments will be served.
This Ribbon Tying event will symbolize the collaboration between Blue Ridge Conservancy/Middle Fork Greenway and the Watauga Arts Council for Art in the Outdoors.
The Art in the Outdoors initiative strives to bring visual arts to outdoor public spaces, with a focus on local artists and a sense of place.
The project intends to provide art as a tool for residents to tell the story of the region's people, land, heritage, and culture. The Art in the Outdoors public art master plan will include a Rural Mural Trail, Art on the Trails, and a trail Tunnel-to-Tunnel beautification initiative.
