Dr. Tierra Stark

Tierra Stark is an Assistant Principal and CTE Director for the Watauga County Schools (WCS) system, working primarily with high school students in Career & Technical Education (CTE). As a product of a WCS education, she believes in the power of education and in providing varied opportunities for students. Tierra has a bachelor's and master's in education from Appalachian State University, and she recently completed a doctorate in Educational Leadership from East Tennessee State University. In her current position with WCS, she works with community members, including Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute, to implement and provide industry-aligned training to students across the county. She has two children in the school system and serves her local community as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician.
