2023 Keep Boone Healthy Golf Classic

The 4th annual Keep Boone Healthy Golf Classic is presented by the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by SkyLine/SkyBest & Carolina West Wireless. 

The Schedule

• 10:00 AM - Registration opens and the driving range and practice faciities are open to players.
• 11:00 AM - Buffet lunch begins in Hound Ears Club restaurant with seating on the outdoor patio. Lunch sponsored by New People's Bank
• 12:00 PM - Gather at carts for course rules and release to starting holes.
• 12:15 PM - Shotgun start
• Post-round awards reception in the Hound Ears Club restaurant and bar. Please turn in your cards in front of the pro shop immediatly following play. Reception sponsored by The Horton Hotel

Par is Your Friend

• Tournament play will be Captain's Choice and Par will be the highest score you can earn on any hole. The blue tees will be played.
• Each player will be allowed two mulligans for the round. Mulligans may not be used for the prize holes. All golfers must hit from the same tee for the Hole-in-One.
• Team awards will be distributed to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and not so first place winners. Tournament results and prize winners will be awarded after the conclusion of play and also posted on the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce website and social media channels. Prizes include:
  • 1st place - Foursome at Hound Ears Golf Club
  • 2nd place - Foursome at Beech Mountain Club
  • 3rd place - (4) travel bags from Carroll Leather
  • Not so first place - (4) single-game tickets to Boone Bigfoots and Appalachian FC

Lunch, On-Course Snacks & Drinks, & Special Gift

• Coffee will be available during the registration/warm-up period. 
• Lunch will be available in the Hound Ears Club restaurant beginning at 11:00 AM. Enjoy a cookout-style meal with burgers, hotdogs, and veggie burgers. French fries, baked beans, slaw, corn on the cob, cookie, pickle, lettice, tomato, onion, and condiments will be available.
• Snacks and bottled water will be placed on each cart. On-course beverages can be found between holes #2/8, and #13/16, as well as coolers placed throughout the course.
• Each golfer will receive a golf towel from Stacie Pineda Real Estate Group.

Boone Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Hole-in-One

• Make a hole-in-one on hole #13 and win a 3-year lease on a  2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Boone Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. All players must hit from the same tee.

Longest Drive

• A longest drive competition will be held for men and women:
  • Men: Hole #4 - $100 gift certificate to Lost Province Brewing Company
  • Women: #8 - Women's tote bag from Carroll Leather & (2) two tickets to Leslie Odom, Jr. performance at An Appalachian Summer.

Closest to the Pin

• Closest-to-the-pin contests will be held for men and women:
  • Men: Hole # 5 - $100 gift certificate to Coyote Kitchen & Lost Cantina
  • Women: Hole #15 - Women's tote bag from Carroll Leather & (2) two tickets to Keb' Mo' with Allison Russell performance at An Appalachian Summer.
