The Watauga Women in Leadership committee invites you to our last Coffee Connections of 2026 on Wednesday, September 16th from 8:00-9:30AM at The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce.
Amy Crabbe with Women's Fund of the Blue Ridge and Mary Louise Roberts, emeritus Watauga Women in Leadership Committee Member and founding member of Watauga Women in Leadership, will spend the morning talking with us about their experiences in the workplace and how they have adjusted with career shifts, changes, retirement, and more!
About the Speakers
Amy Crabbe is the Executive Director Women's Fund of the Blue Ridge, where she works to improve the lives of women and girls through advocacy, leadership, and community investment. With more than 30 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, human resources, and healthcare administration, Amy brings a deep commitment to creating opportunities for women to thrive. Recognized as the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce's 2022 Baker Woman of the Year, she is passionate about building strong communities and advancing initiatives to empower women and families across the High Country.
Mary Louise Roberts is a retired Vice President and Commercial Business Banker from First National Bank in Boone where she helped grow the institution for more than two decades through its evolution from High Country Bank. A two-time Appalachian State University Graduate, she "booneranged" to the High Country to build both a career and legacy of community leadership. Mary Louise is also a founding member of Watauga Women in Leadership and now serves as an Emeritus member of the WWIL Committee, reflecting her longstanding commitment to developing and connecting women leaders. She is also engaged in community service, and advocacy through numerous local organizations and Appalachian State University initiatives.
WWIL Coffee Connections are complimentary for Boone Area Chamber members and $5/per person for non-Chamber members.

The mission of Watauga Women in Leadership (WWIL) is to empower women in business and leadership in all stages of their careers. The organization presents events that support women through networking and educational speakers. We hope to enable and grow business, support and mentoring opportunities among professional women in the High Country.
