Life Village Virtual Ribbon Cutting

LIFE Village Inc. (Living Innovations For Exceptional), provides affordable housing with support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Boone so that they can live their best life. They partner with local businesses, organizations, Appalachian State University, and other local colleges to help the exceptional adults in our community find and secure affordable housing, learn the life skills needed to live more independently, increase community engagement, develop microbusinesses, and widen their circle of support.

LIFE Village Inc. hopes that its downtown presence brings awareness that there are disparities in housing, employment, social engagement, and inclusion nationwide for folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A central location will help the Boone community to learn more about the mission, vision, and goals of LIFE Village, Inc. and how they can be involved through their financial support, partnering for rental lease agreements, donating land or property, board membership, volunteering, teaching, mentoring, engaging and creating community.
