Summer golf at one of the High Country's most prestegious courses awaits players of all skill levels at the Drive.Putt.Strut Summer Golf Classic. Join us Tuesday, May 28th, at Hound Ears Club for an afternoon where business mingling meets outdoor excitement.
Registration Costs
$150 - Boone Area Chamber of Commerce members
$175 - Non-members
$600 - Member foursome price
$700 - Non-member foursome price
Registration includes all golf fees, two mulligans per player, lunch, on-course snacks and beverages, tournament gift, and post-round hors d'oeuvres.
Putting Contest
Each participant is included in the annual Split-the-Pot Putting Contest, presented by Appalachian Commercial Real Estate. Each player will get one chance to make a long-distance putt to win a split of a $500 cash prize, with half of the proceeds going to our non-profit partner, Hospitality House.
If multiple players sink the putt, the prize will be split the appropriate number of ways. If no player sinks the putt, the entire pot will be donated to H.
The putting contest will take place at 1 pm on the practice green. All golfers participating in the contest should be ready to start your round immediately after the conclusion of the contest.
Format, On Course Challenges & Prizes
Play will be a modified captain's choice and teams will be flighted based on handicap. Special contests and prizes for hole-in-one, closest to the pin, and longest drive will be featured throughout the course. Team awards will be distributed to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each flight. We will also award a grand prize to the team with the lowest gross score.
Post-Round Reception
All participants are invited to attend our post-round reception, presented by PeakGroup.insure, in the Hound Ears Clubhouse & Restaurant following play. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. We will also award all team prizes once the final scores are tabulated.
