Charlie Wallin has lived in Boone for 28 years. He is married to Shelley Wallin and we have a beautiful 10-year-old daughter named Keller who attends Parkway School. Wallin is currently a Wataug County Commissioner. Wallin serves as Director of Catering and Event Planning at Appalachian State University and is the former General Manager of Pizza Hut. He is the Council President at Grace Lutheran Church as well as an Assisting Minister and Usher, the Chair of the Town of Boone ABC Board, the Secretary of the Raven Rock Meadow POA, and former Vice-Chair of the Watauga County Planning Board. The Wallins volunteer at many area non-profits, including OASIS, Inc., Hospitality House, Hunger and Health Coalition, WAMY and Humane Society. He is also an active member of the PTO at Parkway School.
