Shelby Tramel

Shelby Tramel is the owner of Lansing Café and General Store, formerly Old Orchard Creek General Store, in Ashe County. She took over the historic Main Street business in 2023 and led its rebuild after Hurricane Helene flooded the store in September 2024, reopening it to the community that December. Tramel brings more than a decade of business operations and management experience to the store, with earlier leadership roles across the tech, branding, and creative industries in the San Francisco Bay Area and Raleigh, including operations posts at Azurity Pharmaceuticals and the branding agency New Kind. She holds a bachelor's degree in advertising and marketing communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
